Scratchers Sweepstakes
Metro Security Watch (“Metro Security”) is sponsoring a
sweepstakes to be held from August 25th, 2010 as the start date for Scratch
Card Distribution and April 30, 2011 as the drawing date. Any times referenced
in these sweepstakes rules are Central Standard Time. No purchase is necessary
to participate.
General Rules:
1. As
used herein, “Metro Security” means Metro Security Watch and all of its parent,
affiliated, and subsidiary companies, including but not limited to Smith and
Wesson Security Services.
2. No
purchase is necessary to participate.
3. Void
where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. Must
be at least 18 years of age to participate and participants must provide valid
proof of age acceptable to Metro Security.
5. The
promotion is open only to residents of Missouri and Kansas who live in the
following counties: The Missouri counties of Bates, Caldwell, Clinton,
Lafayette, Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, Ray, Henry, Holt, Andrew, Buchanan,
Clinton, Dekalb, Caldwell, Bates, St. Clair, Vernon, and Cedar in Missouri; and
the Kansas counties of Pottawatomie, Waubansee, Osage, Douglas, Johnson,
Jefferson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Atchinson, Doniphan, Brown, Nemaha,
Marshall, Coffey, Franklin, Miami, Linn, Coffey, and Anderson.

This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and
local laws and regulations, including gaming, and all aspects of the promotion
are subject to the approval of appropriate regulatory authorities.
7.
All scratch cards are subject to review
and verification.
8.
Metro Security reserves the right to distribute additional
scratch cards via advertising, direct mail, or other promotional means.
9.
Winners must show valid picture
identification (driver’s license, state identification card, or military
identification card) in order to collect prize. If selected participant is not
a U.S. citizen, a current passport, consular identification or alien
registration card is required.
10. Participants agree to allow Metro Security the
unconditional use of their name and likeness for promotions/advertising and
announcements without compensation, consideration, notice, review, or consent,
where permitted.
11. Winners are responsible for
any and all taxes, licenses, registrations and other fees.
12. Drawing and event times are
approximate. Metro Security reserves the right to change drawing and event
times due to unforeseen or extenuating circumstances.
13. All decisions regarding the
interpretation of rules, eligibility, etc. for this promotion lie solely with
Metro Security whose decisions are final.
14. Metro Security reserves the
right to modify or cancel this promotion at any time, for any reason, subject
to any applicable regulatory approval, provided that such modification shall
not, as of the date of such modification, materially alter or change any
participant’s prize already awarded. Notice of any such modification is
sufficient if posted on Metro Security’s website at www.metrosecuritywatch.com/winnerrules
15. Metro Security may
disqualify any participant for any prize based upon fraud, dishonesty,
violation of promotional rules or other misconduct whether or not related to
this promotion.
16. Metro Security is not liable
for injuries or losses arising or resulting from participation in the promotion
and is not liable for any acts or omissions by employees, whether negligent or
willful, in the conduct of the promotion and is not liable in the event of any
equipment or software malfunction.
17. Metro Security is not
responsible for lost, late, mutilated, or illegible scratch cards nor for
electronic transmission errors or delays resulting in omission, interruption,
deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or
unauthorized access to or alterations of scratch cards, or for technical,
hardware, software, or telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable
connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions,
whether caused by Metro Security, users, or by any of the equipment or
programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or
human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may limit,
restrict, or prevent a participant’s ability to participate in the promotion.
18. If for any reason the
promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer
virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures,
or any other causes within or beyond the control of Metro Security which
corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper
conduct of this promotion, Metro Security reserves the right at its sole
discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
19. Any attempt by any person to
deliberately damage any program or to undermine the legitimate operation of
this promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an
attempt be made, Metro Security reserves the right to seek damages from any
such person to the fullest extent of the law.
20. Prizes and scratch cards are
non-transferable.
21. Records of scratch cards and
entries will be retained for record keeping purposes in accordance with local
legal requirements.
22. Need not be present to win.
23. Employees of Metro Security
and its subsidiaries, affiliates, parent companies or vendors who in the sole
discretion of Metro Security are determined to be so closely related to Metro
Security’s operations such that participation would result in the appearance of
impropriety, and all of the immediate family members of the foregoing are not
eligible to participate in this promotion. Immediate family is defined as:
mother, father, brother, sister, spouse, children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law,
brother-in-law, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, step-parents,
step-children, grandmother, grandfather, grandchildren, and any relative or
other person residing in the employee’s place of residence.
24. By participating in this
promotion, participants agree to the rules.
25. Metro Security reserves the
right to make all final decisions regarding the interpretation of the rules and
to disqualify and participant who does not comply with the rules.
26. A copy of these rules and
any changes will be available on Metro Security’s website, www.metrosecuritywatch.com/winnerrules
and at Metro Security, 2820 Roe Lane, Building R, Kansas City, KS 66103, throughout
the duration of this promotion.
Eligibility:
27. All individuals who have a
valid email address and who are residents of the Missouri counties of Bates,
Caldwell, Clinton, Lafayette, Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, Ray, Henry, Holt,
Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton, Dekalb, Caldwell, Bates, St. Clair, Vernon, and
Cedar in Missouri, and the Kansas counties of Pottawatomie, Waubansee, Osage,
Douglas, Johnson, Jefferson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Atchinson, Doniphan,
Brown, Nemaha, Marshall, Coffey, Franklin, Miami, Linn, Coffey, and Anderson
are eligible to participate in this promotion.
28. In order to participate, all
eligible participants must have valid government issued identification.
Drawing Details:
29. To participate, eligible
individuals must obtain a scratch card by providing a valid email address to
Metro Security between August 25th, 2010 and April 29, 2011) in one of three ways:
(1) By attending a trade show at which Metro Security has a booth and visiting
the Metro Security booth; (2) By attending a Metro Security home show; or (3)
By mailing a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Metro Security, 2820 Roe Lane,
Building R, Kansas City, KS 66103.
30. Metro Security reserves the
right to require eligible individuals to show a valid identification prior to
distributing a scratch card.
31. There is a limit of one
scratch card per eligible individual. Any individual who obtains more than one
scratch card will be disqualified.
32. Each scratch card will
contain an obscured code number.
33. Upon receipt of a scratch
card, an eligible participant may scratch off the material covering the
obscured code number to reveal the code number.
34. Metro Security will hold the
drawing from among all scratch card code numbers at 12:00 PM on April 30, 2011.
At the drawing time, one winning scratch card code will be randomly and
electronically selected by a random numbers computer program selected by Metro
Security. The winning scratch card code will be posted on Metro Security’s
website within twenty-four hours of each drawing or as soon thereafter as is
possible.
35. The drawing prize is one
hundred (100) gallons of gas the fair market value of which will be the market
price of gas at Quik Trip, 5055 Roe Ave, Roeland Park, KS 66205 on the date of
the drawing. The prize will be awarded in the form of a check.
36. To determine if the scratch
card received is a winner, an eligible participant must go to the Metro
Security website and check to see if his/her scratch card code matches the
winning code selected at the drawing.
37. Each winner will have sixty
days from the day that the winning scratch code is posted on Metro Security’s
website to claim his/her prize.
38. To claim the prize, a winner
shall present the winning scratch card for verification at Metro Security, 2820
Roe Lane, Building R, Kansas City, KS 66103.
39. Metro Security reserves the
right to verify that the winner is of the age of majority or older.
40. No prize will be awarded
before or after the promotional period stated in the above heading.
41. A total of 5,000 scratch
cards will be printed and available for distribution during the entire
promotional period.
42. The odds of winning each
drawing depend upon the number of scratch cards distributed, but will be no
greater than 1:5,000.
43. If by reason of a print,
programming or other error more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in
these official rules, then the one drawing prize will be awarded on a first
claimed, first awarded basis and under no circumstances will Metro Security
award or be liable for any more than one prize.
44. If the prize is not timely
claimed, then it will not be awarded.
45. Alternate code numbers will
NOT be drawn for any unclaimed prize.
